San Marcos is located next to the volcanos Tajumulco and Tacana, coffee production is harvested at an altitude of 1600 ft. This specific blend was obtained by the hard work of small producers in the Aldea El Bojon.
The warmest of the coffee regions, San Marcos also has the highest rainfall patterns in Guatemala, Reaching up to 200 inches of rain that come sooner than any other region. This climate and altitude make for a higher pH in its soil. This makes San Marcos coffee strong even before the roasting process.
